Paint Couture Lux Metallic Paint is a water-based, brilliant metallic paint that dries to a silky smooth satin finish. Our Lux Metallics are self-leveling, easy to blend, and offer superior durability. With amazing pigmentation, exceptional adhesion, and excellent coverage, this innovative formulation includes a built-in topcoat for long-lasting performance.

Preparation

• Clean surfaces with Paint Couture Fresh Start.

• Lightly sand glossy finishes with 220-grit sandpaper or a sanding pad.

• Remove wax using mineral spirits.

Kitchen Cabinet Preparation

• Complete all steps above.

• Use denatured alcohol to remove grease and cooking residue.

Application

• Apply by brush, roller, or sprayer.

• Two coats recommended.

• Allow 1 hour dry time between coats under normal conditions (50°F–90°F).

• For added depth or a distressed/antiqued look, apply Paint Couture Glaze after 4 hours.

• Use Paint Couture Premium Plus 2-in-1 Bonding & Blocking Primer on non-wood surfaces or tannin-rich woods that may bleed through paint.

• For areas requiring extra durability or heavy use, finish with Paint Couture Topcoat; for outdoor projects, use Extreme Guard Topcoat.

• Add Paint Couture Extender (up to 15%) to increase open time on paints, metallics, glazes, and topcoats.

Use warm, soapy water.

• Gallon (128 oz / 3.79 L): ~640 sq ft

Coverage based on .70 mils dry film thickness.
